Another great summer on its way...

Work is underway right now to bring another great summer to the Rensselaer community. It begins with the return of the rejuvenated Farmer's Market, continues through a new August event, and ends once again with OktoberFest.

  • Farmer's Market - May 19 and every Summer Saturday.
  • Art in the Alley - Saturday, August 18.
  • OktoberFest Rensselaer - Saturday, October 6.

And that's just the MSR activities. Don't miss Taste of Rensseler, Little Cousin Jasper, the Jasper County Fair, and Cruise Night. Add gallery openings, Art Camp, fireworks for the Fourth of July, the summer performance from the Columbia Players... Rensselaer is ready for summer 2007.

TE Grant work moves toward environmental study
The City of Rensselaer was awarded a $1 million transportation enhancement grant one year ago. Spearheaded by Main Street Rensselaer, the grant work is moving quickly into an environment study around the river front and downtown Front Street area to assess the feasiblility of development plans.
